What’s On! 23rd to 29th October 2017

Sunday 22 October: The Parish Family Commission will resume organising the Sunday 9.00am mass intended for families. Our cathecists will help the children to better understand the Gospels of the day. Parents are urged to bring their children (till the age of the Holy Confirmation) for this mass and the children are to enter into the parish hall. After the priest's homily, all the children will be present on the presbytery to continue taking part in the mass.
Tuesday 24 October: The Parish Family Commission is organising a Marian Pilgrimage to the Immaculate Conception Chapel in Bengħajsa. Departure from in front of the church at 6.30pm. Price: €6.00 includes transport, food & drinks. Booking from the sacristy.Thursday 26 October: Adoration of the Holy Eucharist is held after the 8.30am mass.
Thursday 26 October: Adoration of the Eucharist after the 8.30am mass.
Friday 27 October: The church opens at 2.45pm and the Divine Mercy prayers will be recited at 3.00pm.
Thursday 2 November: Outing for everybody organised by the Diaconia Commission. This will replace the usual outing. We will be visiting the Seminary at Tal-Virtu', Rabat where mass will be celebrated followed by adoration of the Eucharist. Departure at 8.45am. Price €9 which includes coffee and transport. Booking from the sacristy.

Pope Francis 1

Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglia has taken the name of Pope Francisco. According to The Catholic News, Bergoglia was born on December 17, 1936 in Buenes Aires, Argentina. He studied at the Theological Faculty of San Miguel, where he received his licentiate in philosophy. He was ordained for the Jesuits on December 13, 1960, speaks Spanish, Italian and German.
