What’s On! 23rd to 29th  April 2018

Thanks to all for the beautiful welcome being given to the parish priest during the home visits. The form that is being sent with the visit date is to be filled before his visit. Thanks for your cooperation.
Tuesday 24 April: 7.15pm Charismatic Group meeting in the Parish Hall.
Thursday 26 April: Adoration of the Holy Eucharist after the 8.30am mass.
Friday 27 April: 3.00pm Divine Mercy prayers are recited in the church.
Saturday 28 April: 6.30pm Talk and mass at St Dorothy’s convent Zebbug for all children who will be receiving the Holy Confirmation sacrament together with their parents and godparents.
A Buffet Lunch is being organised at the Soreda Hotel on Sunday 29 April. Departure at 12.15pm from in front of the church. Booking from the sacristy.
Tuesday 8 May - Feast of Our Lady of Pompei: A day outing to Gozo where a mass will be held at Ta' Pinu Sanctuary followed by lunch at the Lantern Restaurant. Departure at 7.30am from in front of the church. Booking from the sacristy.
Two new youth groups are being set up by the parish - one for youths from 12 to 16 years old and another 16+. Various activities will be organised for them by our youth leaders. Meetings will be held fortnightly on Tuesdays from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. First meeting will be on May 22 in the parish hall.
Meetings for the 16+ group will on Fridays.
These are open to both male and female youths. Parents are invited to urge their daughters/sons to attend.

Pope Francis 1

Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglia has taken the name of Pope Francisco. According to The Catholic News, Bergoglia was born on December 17, 1936 in Buenes Aires, Argentina. He studied at the Theological Faculty of San Miguel, where he received his licentiate in philosophy. He was ordained for the Jesuits on December 13, 1960, speaks Spanish, Italian and German.
