What’s On! 24th to 30th April 2017

Sunday April 23: The Parish Family Commission is organising a seminar after the 9.00am mass at the Parish Centre when Fr. Paul Galea will be explaining what Pope Francis's exhortation "The Joy of Love" (Amoris Laetitia) is all about. There will be time for discussion and questions. The seminar ends at noon.
Thursday April 27: Adoration of the Holy Eucharist after the 8.30am mass. 

The 'Mother & Child group' notifies that it will meet again on Thursday April 27 ay 9.15am in the Parish centre.
Friday April 28: The church opens at 2.45pm for the Divine Mercy prayers.
Other news:

Tuesday May 2: Meeting for all parents whose children will be receiving the Holy Confirmation sacrament this year in the church at 7.00pm. Godparents are invited also.

Tuesday May 9: Outing in aid of the needy families in our parish organised by the Diaconia commission. Departure at 8.45am from in front of the church. Booking from the sacristy.

Friday May 12: The parish priest is organising a special Mothers Day Buffet Dinner. Departure at 7.45pm from in front of the church. Booking from the sacristy.

The Maundy Thursday collection in aid of the Clergy Home amounted to €500.

Pope Francis 1

Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglia has taken the name of Pope Francisco. According to The Catholic News, Bergoglia was born on December 17, 1936 in Buenes Aires, Argentina. He studied at the Theological Faculty of San Miguel, where he received his licentiate in philosophy. He was ordained for the Jesuits on December 13, 1960, speaks Spanish, Italian and German.
